The
Tenderloins’ comedic videos have been featured prominently
on the home pages of MySpace and YouTube, garnering them millions
of internet views. After being named featured comedians on MySpace
in 2007, The Tenderloins were ranked #1 out of over 23,000 MySpace
comedians for the month of April. They are currently ranked
12th out of 123,000 comics.
After
producing 20 comedic sketches and winning $10,000 for an online
sketch competition sponsored by NBC, the troupe was cast on
NBC’s, “It’s Your Show” sketch comedy
show hosted by Carson Daly. The Tenderloins took top honors
on the show and were awarded the Grand Prize of $100,000. They
also recently took home a prize of $5000 for the Super U sketch
comedy competition for Canadian Television. Now if you’re
counting, that’s $115,000 in prizes alone. Are you counting?
Good. Now tax that and divide it by four and spread it over
a couple years. They all have day jobs.
Following
the onslaught of riches the guys developed a scripted comedy
pilot for Spike TV based on their own lives. The pilot was shot
on location in 2008 in their hometown of Staten Island as well
as in and around NYC. Currently, The Tenderloins have written,
produced, directed, edited and starred in a television pilot
which was named as an official selection of the 2009 New York
Television Festival. The show will be screening in NYC in September.
The
Tenderloins were also the principal cast on Seinfeld and in
the first two Godfather movies as the two main characters, and
won billions of other dollars from other things. So, you know...
Brian
is a Fireman. Joe is a Baby Store Salesman. James is a producer.
Sal is a bartender. Their favorite movies separately are Fight
Club, The Shawshank Redemption, Alien and Swingers. Their favorite
movie as a troupe is How Stella Got Her Groove Back. Now that
you know a little about them (“us” really...we write
the bio), please write us and tell us about yourself.
